An Egyptian court referred yesterday, Tuesday, the papers of Judge Ayman Haggag, who was convicted of killing his wife, the presenter Shaimaa Gamal, and his partner to the country's Mufti to take the opinion on their execution.
A judicial official told AFP: "The Giza Criminal Court decided on Tuesday to refer the papers of Judge (Ayman Haggag), the killer of presenter Shaimaa Gamal, and his partner (Hussein Al-Gharabli) to the Egyptian Mufti to take the religious opinion on their execution."
The official added that the court set a session on the eleventh of next September to pronounce the verdict.
The public prosecution decided on June 27 to "arrest and bring" the judge for his involvement in killing his wife and burying her body.
