An Egyptian court issued a ruling against a 26-year-old woman, accusing her of poisoning her three children and attempting to get rid of her husband to be with her lover.
The Nag Hammadi Criminal Court in the Qena area south of Cairo ruled yesterday, Saturday, September 18, 2022, to execute a housewife and her lover, after obtaining the Mufti's approval.
The incident dates back months ago, when the Central Hospital of Farshout reported receiving a worker (32 years old) residing in the center's jurisdiction in a coma, and his three children suffering from poisoning after drinking juice; they died while receiving first aid.
Security investigations revealed that the injured man's wife and the mother of the children, a housewife, had a romantic relationship with a 26-year-old driver and had poisoned her children and husband to get rid of them and marry her lover.
When confronted, the accused confessed to having an illicit relationship between them and agreed to get rid of the husband and the children. The lover brought a toxic substance and put it in 4 juice bottles for the wife to give to the victims, and deceived the husband's relatives by claiming they drank spoiled juice if asked about the cause of their death.
The prosecution then decided to detain the accused and refer them to the criminal court.
