The Canadian government said on Monday that it decided to target two entities and eight individuals as part of new sanctions on Iran due to human rights violations and the manufacturing of drones and ballistic missiles.
The Canadian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement that the latest round of sanctions, the tenth since October, targets individuals including senior officials in the Iranian Revolutionary Guard and law enforcement forces due to "serious and systematic human rights violations" in Tehran and northwest Iran.
