An American transgender woman, "Daria Bloodworth," mentioned that she is currently studying the appeal of the federal court ruling, which decided to revoke her refugee status in Canada. Bloodworth applied for asylum in Canada due to fears of persecution she faces because of her gender transition, which she experiences in American society, including a roommate threatening her with a weapon, as well as the landlord of the property she lives in. Her asylum application was rejected in 2019, before the Canadian court resorted to judicial review, and the appeal was later approved in 2021.

Bloodworth said she is confused because of the ruling issued in Vancouver.

She indicated that she intends to raise the case to the Federal Court of Appeal.

She mentioned feeling more welcomed than she did in the United States, where she suffered cruelty.

It is noteworthy that the judge referred the woman's case back for reconsideration by a different panel of the Appeals Division.
