The Liberals saw an increase in their donations during the second quarter of this year, showing the only rise among federal parties, despite the Conservatives continuing to dominate.
Canada's Elections issued the financial disclosures for the parties for the period from April to June of this year.
The Liberals raised nearly $3.8 million in the second quarter, an increase from the approximately $3.1 million raised in the first quarter.
Most of these donations came before the stunning loss the Liberals faced in the by-elections in late June in the Toronto area they had held for a long time, so their impact is unclear.
The Conservatives continue to raise more money than all other parties combined, although fundraising dropped from about $10.7 million during the first three months of the year to just over $9.8 million in the second quarter.
The New Democrats raised about $1.3 million in the second quarter, down about $55,000 from the previous quarter, while the Bloc Québécois raised just under $322,000, which is down about $21,000.
