A 15-year-old boy died on Friday after falling from an electric lift at a ski hill in Morin Heights, Quebec, about 90 kilometers northwest of Montreal.
The young man fell just before 10 p.m. at the Summit Morin Heights resort, where the spokesperson for the regional police (SQ), Camille Savoy, confirmed.
Paramedics and resort staff performed resuscitation maneuvers before transferring the boy to the hospital, where he was declared dead.
Quebec police are investigating and said the incident does not appear to be of a criminal nature.
