The Canadian Medical Association CMA has urged provinces and territories to rebuild the healthcare system; with the aim of providing patients with more facilities, at a time when the suffering of emergency rooms is rising throughout the country.
The organization stated in a statement that most patients and healthcare workers are suffering
during the current situation, which requires us to carry out more reforms in the healthcare field.
Kathleen Ross, President of the CMA, stated that recent data has shown that patients in some states have to wait 20 hours to receive healthcare; as hospitals are currently suffering from patient overcrowding as well as emergency rooms crowded with patients.
