Canadian Foreign Minister Mélanie Joly announced on Monday that she has informed her Israeli counterpart that the conflict must not extend to the region.
This came after Israel repelled Iranian strikes using drones and missiles this week.
She added: «We are clearly pushing for de-escalation, and we need to ensure that the conflict does not extend to the region».
