In a tweet on Twitter a short while ago, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said, "Canada strongly condemns Russia's recognition of the so-called 'independent states' in Ukraine."
Adding, "This is a blatant violation of Ukraine’s sovereignty and international law."
Explaining, "Canada stands strong in its support for Ukraine – and we will impose economic sanctions on Russia as a result of these actions."
