Canada Radio has learned that the Trudeau government will appoint former Minister Caroline Bennett as Ambassador to Denmark.
Bennett announced in December that she will resign from her position as a Member of Parliament for the Toronto-Saint Paul riding.
Caroline Bennett, a doctor, was excluded from the government last summer when she announced she would not seek re-election as a Member of Parliament.
This is not the first time Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has given an important diplomatic position to a minister in his government.
