The German car company "BMW" stated that it reduced carbon dioxide emissions last year from its new car fleet in the European Union, to below the targeted goals.

According to the company's internal calculations, fleet emissions decreased by 3% to reach 102.1 grams per kilometer, thus remaining far below the limit value of 128.5 grams, according to the car manufacturer’s announcement today, Tuesday, from the city of Munich in the south of the country, where the company's headquarters is located.

The main driver was the increase in the proportion of electric cars. Further growth in conventional driving systems also contributed to this.

It is worth noting that "BMW" intends to reduce its total carbon dioxide emissions by at least 40% per vehicle by 2030, compared to the 2021 limit value.
