The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Hamas resistance movement, in collaboration with the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad movement, claimed responsibility for the operation that took place last night, Sunday, in Tel Aviv.

They confirmed in a statement via their official channel on the "Telegram" app, on Monday morning, that "martyrdom operations inside the occupied territory will return to the forefront as long as the massacres of the occupation and the displacement of civilians continue and the policy of assassinations persists."

The Israeli police issued a joint statement with the Shin Bet on Monday regarding the attack carried out in Tel Aviv, stating that it was "a security incident carried out using an explosive device."

They added in their statement that "the Tel Aviv operation resulted in moderate injuries to one of the citizens."

They noted that "the police have increased their activity in crowded places in Tel Aviv," calling on "citizens to be vigilant and cautious and to report any suspicious person or object."

For its part, the Hebrew newspaper "Israel Hayom" mentioned that "the perpetrator of the operation, who was killed as a result of the explosion of the bomb he was carrying, is a Palestinian from Nablus."

It pointed out that the police determined that the explosion was a "hostile attack" after investigating the explosion that occurred in Tel Aviv last Sunday, which resulted in the death of a 50-year-old man and moderate injuries to another (33 years old).
