Argentina's national team crowned the 2022 World Cup title after winning against France in a penalty shootout, as it became the deciding factor in the thrilling encounter after the end of the original and extra times with a 3/3 draw.
Lionel Messi shone for the Argentine team by scoring two goals, while Kylian Mbappé excelled in the French team by scoring three goals (a hat-trick).
In the presence of about 89,000 fans at Lusail Stadium, Lionel Messi advanced with a goal for the Argentine team from a penalty kick in the 23rd minute, then Ángel Di María added the second goal for the Tango in the 36th minute after a quick counterattack.
But in the last ten minutes, Kylian Mbappé took on the leading role and scored two goals within two minutes for the French Blues, with his first goal coming from a penalty kick in the 80th minute, and then just two minutes later he scored his second goal and for his country with a wonderful shot from inside the penalty area.
The two teams resorted to extra time, in which the Argentine Tango scored a killer goal through Messi in the 109th minute, but the French team received a second penalty kick, which Mbappé converted into his third goal (hat-trick) and for his country in the 118th minute.
