The curtain has fallen on the recent summer transfer period in the five major European leagues, on Friday evening, witnessing many fiery deals. Many of the big clubs in the old continent were keen to strengthen their squads with some strong signings from the top stars in Europe, recording record numbers financially for the contracts with them.
English star Declan Rice sits at the top of the list of the 10 most expensive deals witnessed during the current summer transfer period across various stadiums worldwide.
The global "Transfermarkt" website published a report on the 10 most expensive stars in the summer transfer market that has recently concluded in Europe, with Rice at the top after joining Arsenal in a historic deal worth 116.6 million euros.
Rice outpaces Ecuadorian player Moses Caicedo, who recently transferred to Chelsea from Brighton for 116 million euros.
The list of the 10 most expensive deals in the summer transfer market in the five major European leagues is as follows:

Rasmus Højlund – transferred from Atalanta to Manchester United – for 75 million euros.
