Books - Mohamed Nassar
The Egyptian international Mohamed Salah, Liverpool player, is at the forefront of the summer transfer scene in the Saudi Pro League, just 24 hours before the closing of the registration window. Al-Ittihad Club is working hard to obtain the Reds' approval to release the Pharaoh while they have submitted a fantastic offer of up to £200 million.
Last Saturday, a delegation from Al-Ittihad Club arrived in the English capital, London, to enter into direct negotiations with Liverpool to secure the services of Mohamed Salah and make a real attempt to acquire the outstanding Pharaoh this season, whose strong performance and goal-scoring abilities have made him one of the best players in the most prestigious tournament in the world.
Meanwhile, television reports revealed that Al-Ittihad Club is keen to finalize the deal for the Egyptian international Mohamed Salah during the current summer transfer period due to fears that he might join Al-Hilal or Al-Ahly, who are also interested in acquiring the player's services.
Journalist Ben Jacobs stated in remarks on CBS that Al-Ittihad's desire to sign Mohamed Salah this summer is very strong, due to the uncertainty of the team being the chosen club for the player next season.
Jacobs added: A move for Mohamed Salah to Al-Hilal or Al-Ahly next season is plausible, so Al-Ittihad is preparing to present the final offer within 48 hours, with the club set to offer £175 million and possibly up to £200 million.
He continued: The Saudi delegation is no longer as optimistic as before about completing the deal, but they do not intend to give up. However, the management of Al-Ittihad wants to conclude the deal strongly during this summer, as they are concerned that the Saudi investment fund may consider Al-Hilal as an alternative for Mohamed Salah in 2024.
He confirmed that Liverpool remains firm in its refusal to sell its star Mohamed Salah to the Saudi Pro League despite the fantastic offers it receives.
A newspaper commented in a report on Mohamed Salah's potential and his importance to Liverpool, saying: "Three things seem certain in life: death, taxes, and Salah scoring at least 30 goals in all competitions in a single season."
The report added: "There are exceptionally few who can be compared to the number of goals Salah scores season after season, but one element of his game that may be underrated is his style of play, vision, and ability to find the right pass at the right time."
Last season, in addition to scoring 19 goals in the league, Salah transformed into a playmaker, providing 12 assists (a number surpassed only by Kevin De Bruyne, widely regarded as the best attacking midfielder in the world).
This evolution, in which Salah has become a complete forward rather than just a prolific goal-scorer, continues this season, as the winger has scored two goals and assisted two in the first four matches of the season.
