Reports have revealed that the Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, the Liverpool player, wishes to retire at "Anfield" in the near future. The English newspaper "Daily Express" stated that Mohamed Salah informed the owners of Liverpool FC of his desire to continue his football career at Anfield, after two record offers from the Saudi Federation to sign him during this current summer were rejected.
Media reports confirmed that the Saudi Federation has ended its interest in signing the Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, as they decided to stop making new offers to the Liverpool management in the next few hours, before the transfer window closes in Saudi Arabia today, Thursday.
The Saudi Federation made two record offers to sign Mohamed Salah, the first valued at £175 million and the second at £215 million, with a weekly salary for the Egyptian star of £2.45 million along with other benefits, such as a winning bonus of £55,000 and appointing him as an ambassador for three major Saudi companies in exchange for £18 million.
Liverpool held firm on Salah before the transfer window closed in the English Premier League on September 1, with the window in the Saudi league also closing tonight, Thursday, September 7, 2023.
