Ethan Brodofsky, 8 years old, and Austin Brodofsky, 6 years old, were sent home from four different summer camps this year.  Both have been diagnosed with autism, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and oppositional defiant disorder (ODD).

There are behavioral issues with the boys. 

Their mother, Sabrina Brodofsky, said, "We understand that." 

She works as a registered nurse and had to take leave to care for her children.  She is a contract worker, so her leave is unpaid, and her husband is also a contract worker.

 She continued, "This has put me under a lot of financial stress because I can't work."

 Part of the frustration the Brodofsky family feels is the process of registering Ethan and Austin in the camps from which they were later sent home.  They provide the camps with a list of their children's needs and were told the camps could handle it.

 Sabrina explained during a press statement, "I was very upfront and honest about all the diagnoses.  Their issues, their concerns, and anything they need to know to succeed."

 But once camp began, Ethan and Austin were sent home and the Brodofsky family was told the boys needed more support than the camp could provide.

 It's a problem that Kelsey Davidson, an educational assistant at Autism Ontario, said is common in rural areas of the province.

 She explained, "Some families may struggle to find the right place, especially families in rural areas where they may not have a lot of options and camps available."

 "There are areas that do not have access to camps and programs."

The Brodofsky family feels they have exhausted all available options in the area and do not know where to turn next.

 Sabrina said, crying, "My kids come first" in my life  "but my inability to support them and my inability to contribute... I can't be everything and do everything for them and I can't bear this; it's very hard
