According to Friday's update from the Waterloo region, no new COVID-related deaths were reported in the Waterloo region in the past week.
This is the first time since the week of May 8 that the region has recorded no COVID-19 related deaths. At that time, the region was reporting a cumulative 415 deaths related to COVID-19.
The region has now seen a total of 450 COVID-19 deaths, and so far this year, there have been 132 deaths related to the disease. According to data from the Waterloo region, this is the fourth weekly update in 2022 with no reported deaths.
