A man from British Columbia was accused of robbing six banks within five days last month, according to the police. Devon Skyler Pigeon was arrested on September 24, according to Langley Police. Also, it was stated that just before 10 a.m., a man wearing a mask entered one of the banks while the bank was closed, but a "suspicious man" was reported and officers were sent to the area. According to a press release, "when the bank reported a robbery incident shortly after 10 a.m., they were able to arrest Devon Pigeon, the alleged thief, as he was leaving the bank." In the same context, Pigeon now faces a total of 14 charges: six robbery charges, one attempted robbery charge, six charges of concealing his face with intent to commit robbery, and one charge of uttering threats. Additionally, authorities said the alleged crimes were committed in four separate cities: Langley, Surrey, New Westminster, and Coquitlam, between September 19 and 24. The press release stated, "Fortunately, no one was injured during any of the aforementioned robberies," while also noting that Pigeon was in possession of a bat and a sharp metal tool called a 'scratch' when detained. The accused is also scheduled to appear in court on October 26 for a bail hearing.
