The UAE sends an air bridge to support Morocco...

The President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has directed the establishment of an air bridge to transport urgent relief aid to those affected by the earthquake that struck some areas of the Kingdom of Morocco and to provide various forms of support.

It is noteworthy that the earthquake resulted in 632 casualties and 329 injuries, of which 51 are suffering from serious injuries, according to an initial toll released by the Moroccan Ministry of Interior.

The epicenter of the earthquake was identified in the Al Haouz region, southwest of the city of Marrakech.

The U.S. Geological Survey stated that the earthquake had a magnitude of 6.8 when it occurred at 11:11 PM local time, with a tremor lasting several seconds.

The American agency also reported that an aftershock of magnitude 4.9 occurred 19 minutes later.
