Turkey's Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya revealed today, Sunday, October 1, 2023, that a terrorist detonated himself while another was neutralized near a security directorate affiliated with the Ministry of Interior in the capital, Ankara.
The statement from the Ministry of Interior indicated that at around 09:30 Turkey time, two terrorists carried out an attack using a light vehicle in front of the ministry's General Security Directorate.
The Ministry of Interior confirmed that two security personnel were slightly injured.
The statement also added that the diligent efforts in combating terrorism will continue until complete calm returns.
