The Toronto police are investigating a suspicious package found near the city municipality today, Monday. Officers were called to the area of Bay and Albert streets just before 9 AM.
The police told local media that the force's emergency unit is at the scene inspecting and examining the package.
The police say a "small popping" was heard while crews were investigating.
They explained that the streets in the area are closed, and the buildings in the area have not been evacuated so far.
