A long stretch of warm weather is expected to reach Toronto starting this Monday, with daytime temperatures rising into double digits on several days this week.

The Canadian Ministry of the Environment stated that the temperature is expected to rise to 8 degrees Celsius in the city on Monday, which is much higher than the average daytime high for this time of year, which is usually just above the freezing mark.

The National Weather Agency confirmed that Tuesday will be warmer, with temperatures expected to rise above 13 degrees Celsius. A typical warmth may be available on Wednesday, which is expected to see a rise up to 14 degrees Celsius.

Bill Coulter, a meteorologist at CP24, said that while the sun will appear Tuesday morning, rain will arrive in the afternoon and continue until Wednesday, along with very stormy conditions.

Moderate temperatures will briefly stop on Thursday, as the weather suddenly becomes cold.

Coulter added: "The stormy southwest winds that raise the temperature to 14 degrees Celsius early in the afternoon will become northwesterly late in the day and lead to a significant drop in temperatures to -6 degrees Celsius overnight."

Toronto will see a seasonal rise up to -1 degrees Celsius on Thursday before returning to warmer conditions on Friday.

Coulter added: "The warmer and brighter weather is the right time for the weekend."

The weekend is expected to be beautiful in the city, with sunshine and maximum daytime temperatures of 6 degrees Celsius on Friday, 11 degrees Celsius on Saturday, and 9 degrees Celsius on Sunday.
