A man was killed after a shooting in the Swansea neighborhood in the city of Toronto on Thursday evening.
Toronto police said they received reports of gunfire sounds in the Queensway and Windermere Street area shortly before 10 pm.
When police officers arrived, they located a man in his thirties inside an immobile car, where they began attempting to save him by performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
The police reported that the victim was transferred to the trauma center in critical condition but was later pronounced dead.
The homicide investigation unit was called in.
The police said they found evidence of gunfire at the scene.
The police clarified that a car was seen fleeing the area, but no suspicious information was immediately available.
