Toronto is once again moving towards more winter-like conditions after an extended spell of mild weather during the past week.

Bill Coulter, a meteorologist at CP24, said, "We have started a very gradual transition towards more seasonal conditions."

"After a quiet and comfortable start to the workweek, we will have some damp conditions on Tuesday and some accumulating snow on Thursday before they finally get some regular degrees for the beginning of next weekend."

On Friday, Toronto broke an 86-year-old weather record with temperatures rising above 13 degrees Celsius.

The city has experienced an unreasonably warm winter so far, but temperatures are returning to normal this week.

Toronto will see highs reaching 3 degrees Celsius today, dropping slightly to 2 degrees Celsius on Tuesday, and 0 degrees Celsius on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.

On Saturday, the daytime drop is expected to continue below zero, reaching only -3 degrees Celsius at the warmest point of the day.
