The month of Ramadan coincides with the peak of the academic year for students, where assignments and exams increase, making it a great challenge for students to balance fasting and studying. So, what are the most important tips and information about the best ways to study and learn during Ramadan, which help students to focus, pay attention, and complete their tasks in this blessed month?

Dr. Farhat Fadloon explained that recent studies have proven that fasting does not negatively affect students' performance during the month of Ramadan, contrary to what some think that balancing between studying and fasting is extremely difficult.

He added that concentration is affected by a person's intake of nutrition and organizing time to maintain mental activity and complete tasks in the best conditions.

He also pointed out that fasting achieves important benefits for students during Ramadan, most notably:

Enhancing brain health: by increasing the use of "ketones" during fasting periods and returning to using "glucose" after eating, where cell repair occurs during fasting followed by regrowth and renewal after food.

Providing the body with energy: by shifting the body's energy resources, where the body during metabolism changes from using "glucose" to "ketones" to provide energy.

Cognitive and psychological benefits: fasting reduces the effort expended in digesting food and the energy the body requires, which leads to more focus and calmness.

Improving perception and mood: it enhances brain function and affects increased intelligence, in addition to improving perception, energy, sleep, and mood.

Best study times in the month of fasting:

Dr. Fadloon advised students during Ramadan on the importance of knowing the best times for studying to achieve their educational goals under suitable health conditions, namely:

Choosing times of high concentration, which are usually after Suhoor or after dawn or two hours after Iftar.

Avoiding mental fatigue late in the day, and after Iftar. It is necessary to choose appropriate activities for studying.

Getting some rest before Iftar so that the student is prepared two hours after Iftar for studying without being exhausted.

Making sure to organize sleep schedules, for example from midnight until dawn, or from after dawn until morning, according to the daily study schedule.

Healthy foods that help you focus:

Dr. Fadloon listed many healthy foods that can help students focus better during Ramadan, thereby maintaining high levels of concentration and attention to perform their academic duties in the best possible way. Among these foods:
