Many of us do not realize the importance of time, and thus the state of indifference in dealing with the importance of achievement becomes a characteristic of these people, and intellectual chaos becomes the leading behavior that drives them. At that moment, they look at themselves and wonder what they are doing to themselves, finding that they are lost between searching for the cause and delving into the consequences of their neglect, laxity, and intellectual fall that leads them to societal and human downfall.
So how can a person be precise in their life if they do not realize the temporal state they live in and then respect and work on the necessity of investing it.
Therefore, I find that human progress begins with a person's realization of the importance of the time factor and the necessity of respecting it.
For this reason, we find that advanced countries also take into account the importance of exploiting time, and thus I see bureaucracy as one of the most important factors of backwardness because it relies on killing time and long waiting, thus wasting effort, scattering thought, and wasting the energy of the person who is the true nucleus for building the state and society.
It is worth noting that the phrase "Time is like a sword; if you do not cut it, it will cut you" is a common saying among people, meaning that if a person does not invest their time correctly, the time that has passed will not return, and the person will regret it. There is a saying attributed to Islamic culture that says: "O son of Adam, you are but days, so when your day passes, a part of you passes away." Despite the value and importance of time, it is not effectively utilized among many people. On the contrary, there is a great waste of time among many—young and old, rich and poor, educated and ignorant, rulers and ruled—without any appreciation for the value of the hours and days that have gone.
When talking about time being like a sword if you do not cut it, it is necessary to emphasize the need to manage and organize time so that hours do not pass in futile thinking. Neglecting and disrespecting time has multiple causes, including ignorance of the true value of time and the desire to take revenge on people through bureaucracy to waste their time, keep them busy waiting, and disrupt their thoughts.
There are also other reasons, such as the inability to arrange daily, weekly, or monthly plans, as planning is one of the most important tools in organizing time.
Therefore, I find it wrong to continue neglecting time, especially with all the tools available that assist with culture, work, productivity, and creativity. Today, the internet contains many purposeful cultural videos, articles, and lessons that teach people how to organize their time and make the most of their days with activities that benefit themselves, their families, and their communities.
There are also several important steps that help a person organize their time, including waking up early, as morning hours are blessed, contain positive energy, and have the capacity to organize thought. When a person wakes up early, they can optimally utilize their day and do not feel pressured when accomplishing their tasks. This is in addition to setting priorities, using reminder tools such as alarms to remind of completing certain tasks, or daily notes, and avoiding procrastination and delay by following the saying "Do not postpone today's work to tomorrow."
Yes, do not postpone today's work to tomorrow because this postponement causes work and tasks to accumulate on the person and forms a heavy pressure on them, not to mention leading to procrastination and boredom.
Yes, respecting time organization undoubtedly leads to not mixing tasks, such as doing more than one task at the same time, which helps the person focus on completing tasks gradually to avoid confusion and distraction.
Here, it must be pointed out that in every culture there are a group of phrases and proverbs that urge respecting time and call for realizing its importance. For example, in French culture, there is a proverb that says: "Time is the gold of the wise," and "Time is money," indicating that time makes money. Islam has also urged the importance of investing time in useful work and called to occupy free time because idleness causes corruption in the mind, spirit, and body. How many of us have become intellectually and behaviorally corrupt because time no longer has value for them.
Also, some of us have become dead because they became unable to use time optimally and utilize their energy according to the time they have.
Yes, time is like a sword; if you do not cut it, it will cut you. How many people have become geniuses because they were able to organize and skillfully exploit their time, and how many have become failures because they failed to organize their time.
Respecting the value of time, ladies and gentlemen, is the first step in motivating a person to creativity, resisting difficulties and challenges, and facing all causes of failure. Rather, it is the way to rescue the culture and identity of a person from darkness to light. So can we appreciate and understand what we say until we have much time that makes us happy and opens the way to influence the community we live in, allowing us to enjoy life instead of living worried and defeated, waiting for death instead of being life makers.
