About one in every six people worldwide suffers from daily headaches, and while these pains are treated with common painkillers, such as paracetamol, other methods can be resorted to aside from any medication.
Here are some tips that can relieve one of the most annoying daily pains:
Neck massage:
Massaging the neck muscles helps to relieve spasms that significantly contribute to causing headaches. These spasms result from uncomfortable sitting positions, and those who suffer the most are office workers daily. To get rid of this problem, a few moments can be dedicated daily to massaging the base of the neck, which helps strengthen the muscles.
Drink more water:
We should drink at least 1.5 liters daily, equivalent to 8 cups. This helps keep the skull relaxed and not contracted or spasmed, as this leads to pressure on the nerves and thus the feeling of pain.
Get enough sleep:
Countless studies have described the numerous health benefits of getting adequate sleep hours, including reducing episodes of headache feelings. For adults aged between 18 and 80 years, sleep hours should range between 7 to 9 hours.
Check your teeth:
Often, morning headaches are a direct result of jaw pain, which can come from grinding the mouth at night. A doctor can help you choose appropriate protection that can be placed between the jaws during sleep, which will significantly help reduce headaches.
