Although the weather is still freezing in Montreal, the arrival of maple syrup kiosks is a sign that spring is at the door. For this reason, Esplanade Tranquille in Montreal will host a weekend event titled “Sugar Shack,” providing many free activities so that all Montreal residents can enjoy this time of year without spending a lot of money.
The team from “Petite Cabane à sucre de Québec” will explain how to make maple syrup, and everyone can taste the sweets for free.
The famous pastry chef “Patrick Bouilly” and his students from the Tourism Institute will also showcase their artistic skills through many maple sugar sculptures.
If you are a fan of winter activities, you can also enjoy car games set up on the skating rink.
• La Cabane à sucre de Tranquille
– Cost: Free admission
