The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned today, Thursday, the ongoing aggression against the Palestinian people perpetrated by the Israeli government, with open incitement from senior Israeli right-wing figures, without justification or reason mentioned other than the Israeli coalition's insistence on mixing issues and escalating situations.

The ministry confirmed - during a press statement - that all measures of the occupation and settlers, along with their violations and daily crimes against the Palestinian people, fall within this framework, including mass daily arrests, road closures, paralyzing the movement and lives of Palestinian citizens, and the continuous and repeated closures of camps, towns, and Palestinian cities, as happened in the comprehensive closure of the town of Aqraba for the fifth consecutive day, among other violations that represent different forms and phenomena of the policy of entrenching occupation, settlement, annexation, and expansion, to stifle any opportunity to realize the Palestinian state on the ground.

The Palestinian foreign ministry held the Israeli government fully and directly accountable for its occupation of the land of the State of Palestine and its ongoing aggression against the Palestinian people, as well as for any war it wages on the West Bank or Gaza Strip. It also holds responsibility for its denial of the legitimate and just rights of the Palestinian people and its continuous refusal of negotiated political solutions to the conflict.

It affirmed that the occupying state is sheltered by the leniency of international defense for human rights and the weakness of international legitimacy, and it exploits the double standards of the international community in applying international law, coexisting with it as a ceiling that protects it from accountability and punishment, to complete the annexation of the West Bank and the Judaization of Jerusalem. It emphasized that the absence of international will to implement United Nations resolutions regarding the situation in occupied Palestine not only makes the Palestinian people a continued victim of the international community's and Security Council’s abandonment of its responsibilities, but also violates international law and undermines the foundations of the global system as a whole, replacing it with the law of the jungle and the logic of power as the basis for relations between states.
