The naval forces of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard seized a ship "transporting smuggled fuel" in the waters of the Gulf and arrested four crew members, local media reported today, Saturday.
Furthermore, the IRNA news agency quoted the head of the judiciary in Hormozgan province, Mojtaba Gahramani, saying, "More than 50,000 liters of smuggled fuel were found."
The Iranian official also mentioned the arrest of 4 individuals related to this case and revealed the seizure of a shipment of more than 50,000 liters of smuggled fuel that was aboard the ship when it was detained.
Gahramani indicated that after the necessary legal procedures regarding this ship, the relevant penalties and fines will be determined, and the shipment of smuggled fuel will also be confiscated for the benefit of the "National Oil Products Distribution Company."
