Russian and Syrian forces carried out joint night maneuvers in Hama province in western Syria, where the participating troops trained to destroy presumed terrorist gatherings.
The Russian Ministry of Defense stated in a statement today, Thursday, that the maneuvers were conducted with the participation of Russian "Su-35" and "Su-24" fighters, along with Syrian artillery units, where the participating forces trained to hit sensitive targets of the presumed terrorist groups in the province.
It noted that Russian naval "Ka-52" helicopters destroyed vehicles and fortifications of the presumed terrorists.
The maneuvers also included airdrops carried out by Syrian formations from an altitude of 1500 to 3000 meters using Russian Arbalet-2 parachutes from "Mi-8AMTSh" helicopters.
