Often blood clots, narrow arteries, or cholesterol buildup can cause significant damage and may increase the risk of death if not diagnosed and treated immediately.

But the saying "prevention is better than cure" remains relevant to this day, and fortunately, there is a way to naturally prevent such crises. According to a study on the site, 70% of heart attacks and strokes can be prevented if people get a good night's sleep, that is 8 hours of sleep every night without staying up late.

To clarify, the study followed 7203 healthy individuals over 50 years old for 10 years and rated them from zero to five in terms of sleep duration and quality. Most people scored three to four points, while only 10% showed the best results.

And experts, according to the " timesnownews " website, concluded that for heart attacks and strokes the risks were 75% lower in the group that enjoyed good rest; for every additional point, the disease risk decreased by 22%.

Through this study, the experts established the foundation that makes sleep essential for a healthy life; they say it relaxes blood vessels and reduces blood pressure.

Also, insufficient sleep may lead to increased inflammation in the part of the brain that controls stress hormones or cortisol levels, and as a result, blood pressure and inflammation levels can get out of control, increasing long-term disease risks.
