The Russian Institute of Applied Geophysics confirmed the occurrence of a strong magnetic storm on Earth today, Monday, November 27, 2023.

The statement said: "On November 26, a disturbance was recorded in the Earth's magnetic field," according to Russian media.

According to space weather monitoring data, the degree of disturbance in the Earth's magnetic field reached level "G2", which means "moderate" on the monitoring scale consisting of five indicators, where "G5" is "very strong" and "G1" is "weak".

The "G2" level means there may be problems in power systems on Earth, including possible interruptions in radio navigation and disruptions in radio communications.

Regarding the impact of these storms on human health, "Al Arabiya.net" previously covered warnings from a Russian expert about magnetic storms that occur at irregular intervals, confirming that they can cause significant health problems.

Internal medicine doctor Savinch Alieva, according to Russian media reports, added that "symptoms such as insomnia, headache, dizziness, irregular heartbeat, and joint pain may appear during the magnetic storm."

She added that humans react differently to this phenomenon, where some suffer from drowsiness, others from psychological and emotional disturbances, and some may experience panic attacks.
