An Iran-backed group launched a rocket attack on the American "Conoco" field base in Deir ez-Zor province, eastern Syria.
According to Anadolu Agency, local sources said the attack on the gas field was carried out by armed groups stationed west of the Euphrates River, with a number of rockets.
It has not been announced whether the attack resulted in casualties, and the American side has not yet issued any immediate comment on the attack.
On Thursday, an Iran-backed group also launched an attack on the American base in the "Omar" oil field.
The United States had previously announced launching strikes described as "retaliatory" in Iraq and Syria against the Quds Force of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard and groups allied with it.
According to a statement by the US Central Command "Centcom", the strikes targeted command and control operational facilities, intelligence centers, missiles and rockets, drone warehouses, logistical facilities, and the ammunition supply chain for militia groups and their sponsors from the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, who facilitated attacks against American forces and coalition forces.
