The Royal Canadian Mounted Police Rimbey RCMP is seeking any information regarding the whereabouts of a missing family.
The Mani family, consisting of Winnie (39 years old), Lilian (24 years old), Debra (18 years old), Israel (15 years old), Samuel (14 years old), and Gabriel (13 years old), who live in the Meridian Beach area near Ponoka County, have been reported missing.
The police said that Winnie last spoke with the family by phone on April 3, but the family's location has not been confirmed since mid-March.
Winnie's children were taken out of the school they attended in Lacombe, Troy Savinkov told CTV News Edmonton. "We do not know whether the family is missing voluntarily, or does not want to be found, or what exact motives they might have for leaving."
"There is no evidence at this time that anything sinister has occurred, the circumstances themselves are concerning.”
A black 2013 Dodge Durango registered to Winnie Mani was found abandoned in a private parking lot near the Bow Habitat Station in southwest Calgary on March 28, according to police.
Winnie, the mother of the five children, is described as:
39 years old, female, height 5'3, 175 lbs, brown eyes, black hair
Lilian is described as:
24 years old, female, height 4'9, 115 lbs, brown eyes, black hair
Debra is described as:
18 years old, female, height 5'2, 120 lbs, brown eyes, black hair
Israel is described as:
15 years old, male, height 5'6, 120 lbs, brown eyes, black hair
Samuel is described as:
14 years old, male, height 4'7, 100 lbs, brown eyes, black hair
Gabriel is described as:
13 years old, male, height 3'9, 78 lbs, brown eyes, black hair
The police have reason to believe that Mani may be in the South British Columbia area, and due to the ongoing investigation, they were unable to disclose their reasons.
Anyone with information about the Mani family is asked to contact Rimbey RCMP at 403-843-2225 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or by visiting p3tips.co.
