The digital transformation in Quebec has witnessed significant growth within companies as a result of the pandemic. But where has the digital transformation of information and document management reached?
At the École de technologie supérieure (ÉTS), the Office of Document and Archives Management (BGDA) has undergone a massive digital transformation.
Nadine Lemieux, Information Management Consultant at ÉTS, stated, "We had to find a solution that is easier to use and scalable, allowing document processing as soon as they are created, electronic signing, and remote work. So we chose M-Files, while maintaining the Ged SyGed solution for archive management."
Lemieux also spoke about the importance of artificial intelligence in information management, "Artificial intelligence helps in automatically recognizing the subject of the document without reading it, or automatically deriving a code, or allowing immediate naming or intuitive classification."
Quebec is also bustling with innovative artificial intelligence companies, which have contributed to giving a new digital breath in information management.
