The number of people in Quebec hospitalized for COVID-19 treatment decreased by 28, bringing the total to 1566, including 531 due to COVID-19.

Of this number, 29 people are in the intensive care unit, including 18 infected with COVID-19, down by one from 24 hours ago.

Another death occurred between two to seven days ago, bringing the total deaths to 16,482.

On September 10, a total of 8,152 samples were analyzed. Quebec added 554 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of infected people to 1,186,199.

A total of 286,402 rapid tests were announced, with 236,964 positive tests.

In the past 24 hours, 169 cases were reported, with 138 positive cases.

Quebec encourages people to report their home rapid test results so that officials can get a clearer picture of infection levels in the province.

There are 3,201 healthcare workers absent for COVID-19 related reasons.

Healthcare professionals in Quebec administered 7,220 additional vaccine doses, bringing the total to 20,905,785 doses.

The Quebec Ministry of Health indicates that vaccination against the virus does not completely prevent infection, but it reduces the risks of severe consequences.

As of September 11, 91 percent of eligible residents aged five and over have received their first vaccine dose. Fifty-six percent received three doses and 22 percent received four.

The government did not include data for children aged six months to four years.
