Pierre Poilievre is the new leader of the Canadian Conservative Party, winning the first ballot.
After a seven-month campaign in which Poilievre was seen as the frontrunner, he won the election decisively.
Poilievre received 68.15 percent of the votes, far surpassing runner-up Jean Charest with 16.07 percent of the votes.
