Raed Al-Namas, Media Director of the Palestinian Red Crescent in the Gaza Strip, said that the Israeli occupation forces have returned to their crimes committed against the Palestinian people, as the Israeli air raids continued to pound and bomb safe houses, resulting in the martyrdom of more children, women, and elderly.

Al-Namas added - during a call to Cairo News Channel today, Friday - that despite the efforts of several parties to pressure towards stopping this aggression and reducing the suffering of the people of the Gaza Strip, the Israeli occupation disregards all these appeals and interventions.

He confirmed that the days of the truce, which ended yesterday, Thursday, did not allow us to provide all humanitarian, relief, and health services to those affected by this aggression due to the short duration and the limited available capabilities, and even with the entry of aid, we could not meet the needs of about 1.7 million displaced persons and more than 30 thousand injuries.

He explained that half of those targeted and martyred since this morning are children, pointing out that the hospitals are in a deplorable condition since the beginning of the aggression; there are 27 hospitals out of 35 that are out of service, and 55 primary care centers are also out of work due to targeting or depletion of fuel and medical supplies, in addition to the fact that central and southern hospitals are full of injured people and there are patients receiving treatment in the corridors.

The Media Director of the Palestinian Red Crescent appealed to partners in the International Movement of the Red Cross and Red Crescent, especially our partners in the Egyptian Red Crescent, to pressure towards the entry of more aid and fuel because it is an essential element in operating hospitals, facilities, medical centers, bakeries, and water desalination plants, as the situation in Gaza is catastrophic and requires genuine and serious intervention to stop this aggression.

He emphasized that the Palestinian Red Crescent administration has been continuing since the beginning of the crisis until this moment to coordinate and work directly with all international organizations and partners in the International Movement, but there are Israeli restrictions that limit this cooperation and intervention, hoping that all partners intensify efforts to reach the victims of the aggression on Gaza and fully assist them.
