The Palestinian communities in many Canadian cities organized mass rallies to express their solidarity with what is happening in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in the city of Jerusalem.

The Palestinian House in Canada organized a large mass rally in front of the Israeli consulate in downtown Toronto, Canada, with the participation of more than 1400 people from the Palestinian and Arab community and Canadian sympathizers.

The demonstrators raised Palestinian flags and chanted for freedom for the Palestinian people and for Palestine.

Signs condemning the ongoing Israeli attacks on the Palestinian people, especially in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in occupied Jerusalem, were also raised. This neighborhood is witnessing a new real catastrophe due to the threat of more than 500 Palestinian families with forced eviction from their properties in favor of Zionist settlers, as part of applying the large Judaization project of occupied Jerusalem in implementation of the American "Deal of the Century" and the Zionist annexation project.

The demonstrators called on the Canadian government and the international community to intervene and stop these attacks carried out against the Palestinian people and inside the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque, disregarding all relevant international resolutions related to the Palestinian cause. These resolutions clearly grant the Palestinian people their right to self-determination on their land and in their fully sovereign independent state with Jerusalem as its capital, and the return of refugees as specified by international resolutions.

On the other hand, the Palestinian community in the city of Montreal organized a similar rally the day before yesterday, and the Palestinian community in the Canadian capital Ottawa is preparing to organize another solidarity rally on Saturday, May 15.
