Investigators are looking into the cause of a fire that broke out in a house in the Hunt Club neighborhood of Ottawa, where Ottawa Fire received a call just before 5 p.m. on Saturday, reporting smoke rising from a neighbor's house on Gillespie Crescent.
Firefighters arrived at the scene four minutes after the initial call, where they located the fire in the kitchen of the house.
Ottawa Fire said on Twitter: "During the search operations, it was discovered that the floor of one of the bedrooms on the upper floor was damaged."
Firefighters also conducted two inspections of the entire building and confirmed there were no occupants inside.
