Residents of Ontario who hope to see the supermoon may be lucky.
The forecast seems to be in their favor as the "moon" is expected to peak on Thursday night, but it will remain visible throughout the weekend.
There are no weather alerts issued in Ontario, and Michelle Jobin, a weather specialist at CTV News, says the conditions should be perfect for watching the lunar event.
She said in Toronto, evening temperatures are expected to reach around 19 degrees Celsius with clear skies.
"Toronto's peak lighting forecast is at 9:36 p.m. Perfect for being outside and getting a great view of tonight's supermoon."
According to Environment Canada, the sky will be mostly clear in most other major cities, including Ottawa and Windsor.
Speaking to CTVNews.ca, York University physics and astronomy professor Paul Delaney said residents should have a "comfortable" viewing experience.
He said, "The full moon in August is always well positioned for moon observation."
This is the fourth consecutive supermoon, following the "Buck Moon" in July, the "Strawberry Moon" in June, and the "Venus Moon" in May.
The "super" moon refers to the moment when the moon appears closest to Earth through its orbit.
NASA says it will peak Thursday night around 9:36 p.m. Delaney said the moon will be visible worldwide, so "everyone gets a chance" to see it.
