The Premier of Ontario, Canada, Doug Ford, encountered a strange situation when he swallowed a bee that was buzzing around him while he was giving a speech during a press conference. Ford was speaking to reporters in a briefing about healthcare privatization when the bee started flying around him before he accidentally swallowed it. Ford suddenly stepped away from the podium and drank some water, coughing and vomiting repeatedly after swallowing the bee in an attempt to expel the insect. Ford said immediately after swallowing the bee, "Oh my God, I just swallowed a bee!" then drank some water in shock.

Ford continued while reporters laughed, "This is going to be played over and over online," adding that the footage will also be aired on television. A reporter asked Ford a question to check on his health condition, to which he jokingly replied, "I'm perfectly fine, but I think the bee is buzzing somewhere in there," pointing to his stomach.
