There were some tense moments on Highway 69 south of Sudbury on Friday afternoon after a car caught fire.
Colette Therriault told CTV News that she was heading south on the highway between Steel River and Britt when she saw a lot of white smoke coming from a car in the far northbound lane.
She added that the smoke turned black before the car caught fire near the Old River Road area.
This happened around 11:40 AM. The Ontario Provincial Police did not release any details other than reopening the road around 12:40 PM.
There is no information on whether anyone was injured in the accident, but Therriault said she does not believe anyone was injured.
