Halton police are searching for a suspect after a shooting incident involving a person who was sitting inside a parked car in Oakville on Monday morning.
The police stated that two people were sitting in a parked car at Ninth Line and Dundas Street at around 4 a.m., when an unknown man approached them. According to witnesses of the incident, this man left the area then returned with a firearm and fired at the car, hitting the passenger.
The suspect fled the scene, and the car driver then transported the injured passenger to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The police described the suspect as South Asian, 6 feet tall, weighing 200 pounds, with black hair.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the police.
