Ontario Provincial Police said three people died and another was seriously injured following a head-on crash about 90 kilometers southwest of downtown Ottawa.
A two-vehicle crash occurred on Christie Lake Road between Glen Tay Road and Bowes Side Road in Tay Valley Township at about 11 a.m. Tuesday, OPP said in a news release.
The statement announced the death of the driver and passenger in one of the vehicles at the scene. The driver of the second vehicle also died and a passenger was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
The victims have not yet been identified. A section of Christie Lake Road between Glen Tay Road and Bowes Side Road was closed for investigation.
