Ford Motor Company announced yesterday, Monday, that it has decided to lay off more than 300 additional temporary workers due to the indirect effects of the ongoing strike against the company and two other American car manufacturers.
In mid-September, the strike began against the so-called automakers Ford, Stellantis, and General Motors. Instead of calling all of its 146,000 members to strike at once, the United Auto Workers union gradually implemented the strikes and stated that it would call for strikes at more locations over time. However, so far, about 25,000 members have gone on strike.
