The NATO Deputy Secretary General Mircea Geoană clarified to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that a Ukrainian victory in the war against Russia would not only serve Israel's interests but that a Russian victory could harm its security and strategic situation.
Geoană confirmed during an interview with the Hebrew newspaper "Haaretz" that he conveyed this message to the Israeli Prime Minister during their meeting in Tel Aviv last Thursday.
The NATO Deputy Secretary General Mircea Geoană warned that "if the Russians win, other countries like Iran will understand that they can evade sanctions."
According to a senior Ukrainian diplomat, Netanyahu proposed a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly.
