Israeli police forces used water cannon vehicles and horsemen on Saturday evening to disperse a massive demonstration in Tel Aviv against Benjamin Netanyahu's government.

For the first time since the outbreak of the war on Gaza, the police used water cannon vehicles and horsemen to disperse a demonstration of the families of detainees, and security personnel arrested at least six protesters.

The "Times of Israel" newspaper reported that thousands participated in the demonstration, demanding several demands, including reaching an agreement to release the hostages held in Gaza, calling for early elections, the dismissal of Netanyahu, and reaching a diplomatic solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Concurrently with the demonstration in Tel Aviv, several demonstrations with the same slogans took place in a number of Israeli cities.

The demonstrations come a day after ceasefire talks in Gaza, which were hosted by the French capital, Paris.

The Israeli newspaper "Haaretz" reported on Saturday a "significant progress" in these talks, which took place between representatives of the United States, Israel, Egypt, and Qatar.

Sources familiar with the details of the meeting, which took place on Friday evening in Paris for "Haaretz" newspaper, said that the talks were "very good," indicating that "significant progress" was made
